Neville Williams' Bite Club needs to be shut down.
This guy is creating time bombs, and the owners don't
know enough to know better.
I remember my uncle in Germany had 2 Rottweilers,
which were attack trained. (He bought them "second
hand" for this purpose). He used them to protect his
property/business. They were quite viscous. There
is one incident when my cousin was trapped by one
of the dogs, and was about to be attacked. He was
able to scream out to my uncle who had to command
the dog to back off. And that was his own family member!
Another time, and the last time, was when the dog
got an ear infection, and the same dog attacked my
uncle. He ended up with a lengthy microsurgery session
on his forearm. Needless to say, the dogs were both
put down.
Even if the dogs that Neville trains are "good" with
their family, no one can guarantee that those dogs
won't change hands at some point. What then!

Quite right ib,
This idiot believes that having an attack trained
dog is every dog owners right as an insurance policy..and
the lady with the rotty, and it was no rotty cross,
( very solid, possibly 60 kg) stated that she feels
safe when she walks the dog, and has every confidence
in her ability to control the animal..ok, all well
and done, but this is the same as walking the streets
with a pistol, which is loaded and cocked ready to
fire, it could go off at the wrong time..and kill
someone, I pray that they never have to use the command,
because they are in actual fact breaching council
regs (dangerous dog) and also criminal law-its the
same as carrying a concealed weapon....so this guy
is a real threat to what everyone is trying to prove..my
dog should not be banned, there was even a boxer..on
that segment..god talk about this Williams being a
couple dogs short of a show..!!

Hi All
I would add to the top piece come in contact with
an innocent person doing no harm.
I have not been to this link YET but will. Just a
quick comment. There is absolutely no need for anyone
to have a dog that is trained to attack people.
However when people try to train them quickly at
so called TRAINING CAMPS where they receive as little
as 4 weeks intensive training. Sometimes a couple
of months it is bound for BAD things to happen.
However there are schools of training that are
OK. BUT the dog must go for lengthy periods
of time and MUST be trained by it's owner. So the
owner knows WHAT TO DO.
This training never ends. It, once started is for
the life of the dog. How many people have this discipline?
When dogs are trained for police the dog receives
constant training. They don't do a 6 week hit at
teaching it to attack. To train a dog in this way
costs many many thousands of dollars as there is
countless hours devoted to it's training. These
camps DO NOT devote any where enough time to the
dogs they supposedly teach.
These people are, as already said MAKING "TIME
BOMBS". And no offence there is very FEW women that
can control a Rotty that is trained to attack poorly,
if something goes wrong. Also there are few men
that could also. This also applies to many large
dogs of any breed or XXX!!!
Lets also face it WHY train a Rotty to bite. I
would not ever hassle a person walking one??? Come
on some common sense must prevail, any Rotty will
defend it's owner and so will most dogs if the owner
is in immediate danger. To feel safe why would you
need to train it to be a PHYSCO, as this is what
nearly all these Schools do.
This training usually results in a dog that is
useless.
It must be separated from all people except immediate
family. So what good is it to protect its family.
What do you do, run to the kennel to release it
if something goes wrong???
Also people that think of dogs as first being for
defence would be the wrong sort of owner any way.
So they are bound for trouble to begin with. The
whole situation is just appalling and the cause
of most serious dog attacks. But when the dog attacks
a person the owner will never admit they trained
or had the dog trained. It always "TURNED WITHOUT
WARNING"!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
Just checked out the web page on the story, I was
really concerned that she referred to the girls taking
the dog for a walk down the street, How old were they???
Were they old enough to control the dog. Not making
judgement on this lady's children just checking that
they were old enough to control the dog.
It is a shame people take this guys word as being
gospel.
There are a lot of dangerous people out there that
are making it difficult for the rest of us.

Couldn't believe it when the lady said that she
lets her daughter/s take this dog for a walk.
You tell me how many kids are responsible enough not
to set the dog on someone that is annoying them or
a group of kids that they don't like?
This dog has been trained to have an on/off trigger,
lets hope it's not faulty.

Quoted from show" Take Hooch for instance
- he is a 44 kilogram pure-bred Rottweiler and if
anyone touches his owner, look out!"
Everyone here that has posted replies is correct
and this 'trainer' using the word very lightly,
is making for ticking time bombs. Some breeds of
dogs have natural guarding abilities, that are only
bought to the fore, when their loved ones are being
threatened. I have never had one of my dogs attacked
trained, but they have reacted, correctly, when
we have been placed in a dangerous situation. I
would trust my life and families lives with my dogs.
Attack trained dogs, either by cowboys, or owned
by inexperienced handlers makes for a dangerous
dogs, regardless of breed. At an obedience trial,
we had a very striking male GSD, his ELDERLY owner
had touted around the place that the dog was Sch.
trained, by him. This dog was totally intractable,
attacked two dogs, whilst the owner had him on lead,
as he walked past groups of people talking.
Once inside the trial ring, for the group stays,
two Stewards were asked to stand
behind the dog, just in case it turned on the other
dogs. No sooner had the owner left the dog, and
his back to the dog, the dog turned around and lunged
for another dog.
The dog was immediately disqualified, a formal complaint
lodged with the CCCQ and the dog was disqualified
from entries etc. for 6 months.
I have had a dog aggressive dog, the result of
training at a club that didn't encourage socialization
and they would and have NEVER done such things to
other dogs, NEVER!!!!! The owner of the above dog,
also had his GSD bitch disqualified for 6 months
for aggression too.
Neville Williams really does need to be dragged
over the hot coals for this dreadful news article,
it is people like him, that keep decent trainers
and dog handlers from being allowed to participate
in properly conducted and affiliated SCH. clubs.
Trained police dogs as so tractable that they live
out their retirement with the handlers family, I
think that Williams training methods speak for themselves.

"H" and all, Hi
You are so right!! I feel we need a warning type article
for our web site, about training in general--I indicated
I was working on the bite/chew/growl aspect for owners
of new pups, so is anyone able to put up a few sentences
to intro training and state these points of what NOT
to do--I do hope we will then offer the contacts for
obedience clubs etc. and the benefits of obedience
training in a useful article, and I do not mind putting
the info into a format for Jim. I am so mad about
this free publicity the idiot got!

Quoted from previous posting "his ELDERLY
owner had tauted around the place that the dog was
Sch. trained, by him. This dog was totally untractable,
attacked two dogs, whilst the owner had him on lead,
as he walked past groups of people talking.
I would just like to say, As H all ready has. But
I would like to say this. This above dog was not
SCH trained and if it was it must have failed.
For a dog to pass any level of this training they
must be sociable with all other dogs no exceptions,
NONE. These dogs are superbly trained and not even
slightly dangerous. As they are trained to do it
for the owner, not to be aggressive. Also they are
trained to bite people and attacking of another
dog when they are working is a failure and will
result in other trainers of the attacked dog being
very upset. Because this ruins THEIR training.
It is unfortunate that more people don't understand
this very rigorous sport better. Because for the
dedicated trainer it is something truly exceptional.
But I would NEVER train one of my dogs for it. As
I see it as totally unnecessary. But each to their
own.
When you have seen these dogs GSD especially they
just aren't aggressive with other dogs, they are
too busy having fun, as biting is the tiniest part
of the training. But with certain COWBOYS this is
all they teach. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK
ATTACK. So what happens with some of the dogs and
who is to blame when things DO GO WRONG. I know
who is blamed at the moment and it isn't the owner.
When their is a serious attack, all dogs should
be tested to see if it has been trained. This is
possible and done in some states of the USA. It
is 100% obvious to a trainer, but the average person
just sees a vicious dog. THIS MUST STOP as it is
what is behind nearly all serious DOG ATTACKS.
